The Indian Navy has received delivery of the first BrahMos missile which will be installed on its Talwar class frigates which are currently being built at the Yantar shipyard at Russia’s Kaliningrad, Jane’s Defence has reported.
BrahMos aerospace will also supply an eight-cell vertical launch system (VLS) and a ship-borne control unit to the Indian Navy for integration into the battleships.
As part of the Talwar Project 1135.6, India would receive the delivery of two modified Krivak III-class frigates, which will incorporate various Indian designs and manufacturing systems.Read More…
