Very well written factual article. Chinese seem to be in a habit of spreading false propaganda which now is nothing new to the world. They unwisely seem to undertake or atleast think of number of misadventures namely Doklam, South China, Veitnam, Tibet and so on which may and will prove catastrophic to their economy and worldly standing. Time is ripe now for us to dent Chineese trade and economy by saying no to their little reliable goods. A boycott campaign if initiated on social networking sites such as watsapp and others, will create ripples amongst Indian population which in times of national integrity will reject Chineese goods and will be more than happy to sacrifice paltry monetary gains acrued because of cheap chineese goods.

Banning Chineese buddhists to Nalanda will be a befitting answer to unruly Chinese for their discontinuation of holy Mansarower yatra, but responsible and mature country of ours has shown lot of paitience and resolve to not to undertake such immature decisions unless and untill compelled to do so.

    A well researched article.

It is also a case of “jealousy” in international relations. The rousing reception that our Prime Minister is getting of late in nation after nation that he visits, is making the Chinese uneasy. They are worried about India’s rising stature internationally.

Added to this is the worry that India has begun to attract a lot of foreign investment under the ‘Make in India’ programme, has a higher growth rate, has a young work force against their aging population, has been able to withstand and counter terror strikes from Pakistan, has a battle hardened and experienced army which though not technologically well equipped is a great fighting machine etc. etc.

China is wary of indian progress so it is doing what it does best, being a bully.

The bully survives only on perceptions and only till someone stands up to it. China needs to introspect and analyse own vulnerabilities. They should actually be looking at India’s support to realise their superpower ambition.

    An extremely insightful article.

It is time we look behind the facade of so called well thought out and long term oriented strategic moves.

Rather, the Chinese seem to display irrational brazenness. Their actions seem to be reactionary and knee jerk.

A very well articulated article Sir,
It brings out the negative attitude of a nation towards other nations, hoping to be seen as a super power. Snubbish attitude won’t work every time and with everyone.
It’s very easy to do tit for tat kind of actions for a nation like India, but so far we have shown our intent clearly to her of safe guarding our strategic interests at the same time behaving as mature nation.
China, I think has miscalculated it’s adventure this time
