Dr G. Satheesh Reddy has had a fascinating first year in office as chairman of the country’s premier defence research agency, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
After achieving the final operational clearance (FOC) of the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, which made the fighter jet ‘battleworthy’, and successful test of an anti-satellite missile, Reddy is now targeting a rapid, multipronged effort to build the next class of fighter jets.
