At UNSC, India Highlights Pakistan’s Link to Al Qaida, the Islamic State of South Asia

India on Wednesday underlined Pakistan’s ties to terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, Islamic State (IS) and others and “safe havens” provided to them in the country.

India’s UN envoy TS Tirumurti said: “It is essential that we not lose sight of the ease with which the network bans Haqqani and his supporters, especially the Pakistani authorities, have worked with prominent terrorist organizations like Al-Qaida, ISIL K, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, etc. in South Asia.” Read More…
