Formerly DGMI & Comdt IMA. Commanded the Leh Corps during the Eastern Ladakh Crisis in 2020. Commanded Kupwara division during the surgical strikes. Led the UN Multi-National Brigade in Eastern Congo during the M-23 rebellion. Commanded a Rashtriya Rifles battalion during the peak of Kashmir militancy in North Kashmir. Held fellowships at MP-IDSA,
