Pacific Fleet Commander may be Nominated to Lead Indo-Pacific Command, Report Says

The White House is expected to name Adm. John Aquilino, commander of the Navy’s Pacific Fleet, to lead Indo-Pacific Command, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

Aquilino would replace Adm. Philip Davidson, who since May 2018 has overseen the geographic combatant command that spans an area from the United States to India. Davidson is expected to retire, according to the Journal report, which cited unnamed U.S. officials. Read More…
