Commander Ashok Bijalwan (Retd)

Commander Ashok Bijalwan (Retd) was commissioned into the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy. An alumnus of National Defence Academy, he joined the Submarine arm and specialised in NBC Defence including Damage Control and Fire Fighting in 2000. He has served onboard Foxtrot and Kilo class submarines besides the 12th Submarine Squadron. He has also held appointments at the Headquarters of the prestigious ATV Project and Strategic Forces Command in strategic operations roles. Post early retirement in 2016, he has been working as a commentator on strategic affairs with various media houses in his spare time.
