Big Reshuffle in Naval Headquarters

The Indian Navy will have a new Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (DCNS) from 1st of June. Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh, the present Chief of Personnel (COP), would assume charge as DCNS after retirement of Vice Admiral MS Pawar, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff on 31 May. 

Current Director General Naval Operations (DGNO), Vice Admiral DK Tripathi will replace VAdm Ravneet Singh as COP. The COP is one of the four Principal Staff Officers (PSO) to the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) in the Naval Headquarters. The other PSOs are: Vice Chief of Naval Staff, the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of Materiel (CoM).

Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar shall assume charge as DGNO on promotion to the rank of Vice Admiral on 1st June 2021.
