The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday held a brigade-level flag meeting at Chakan Da Bagh in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss matters related to Line of Control (LoC) management.
According to officials, brigadier-rank officers from both sides led the meeting, which marks the second such engagement this month.
“These flag meetings are part of a routine LoC and border management mechanism, held in accordance with the understanding between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries,” a defence spokesperson said.
The meeting focused on routine operational and coordination issues along the LoC. Indian Army officials also raised concerns regarding recent infiltration attempts, ceasefire violations, and incidents involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs), formally lodging a protest with their Pakistani counterparts.
