The Indian Army conducted a high-intensity Tri-Service Integrated Multi-Domain Warfare Exercise, Prachand Prahaar, in the Eastern Theatre, showcasing the country’s advanced combat preparedness near the Chinese border. Conducted between March 25 and 27 in the high-altitude terrain of Arunachal Pradesh, the exercise brought together the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and other key elements of the armed forces in a synchronized combat drill aimed at simulating future warfare scenarios.
Under the aegis of the Eastern Command, Prachand Prahaar demonstrated seamless coordination across multiple domains, incorporating advanced surveillance, precision strike capabilities, and cutting-edge battlefield technologies. The exercise featured the deployment of long-range maritime reconnaissance aircraft, armed helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), loitering munitions, and space-based assets to enhance real-time situational awareness and rapid target engagement.
A key highlight of the exercise was the swift identification and neutralization of simulated enemy targets through a series of coordinated strikes. These involved fighter aircraft, long-range rocket systems, medium artillery, swarm drones, kamikaze drones, and armed helicopters operating in an electronically contested environment designed to replicate modern battlefield conditions, according to the Indian Army.
Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, and Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command, reviewed the exercise. Both senior officers commended the troops for their operational excellence and a high degree of professionalism.
“This integrated tri-service drill builds on the momentum of Exercise Poorvi Prahar held in November 2024, which primarily focused on the coordinated application of aviation assets. Prachand Prahaar takes that concept further, validating a fully integrated approach to surveillance, command and control, and precision firepower across the three services,” a senior Army official stated.
