Indian naval warships, including the Delhi, Shakti, and Kiltan, led by Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar, Flag Officer Commanding the Eastern Fleet, arrived in Singapore on Monday for operational deployment to the South China Sea. The ships were warmly received upon arrival by the Republic of Singapore Navy personnel and the High Commissioner of India in Singapore, a heartening display of the strong ties between the two nations, according to a naval release.
The visit is part of the Operational Deployment of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet to the South China Sea. The visit is poised to further strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two maritime nations through a series of engagements and activities, a naval release stated.

During the ships’ stay in the harbour, a diverse range of activities are planned to be undertaken. These include interactions with the High Commission of India, professional engagements with the Republic of Singapore Navy, as well as academia and community outreach. These activities, reflecting the shared values of both navies, are a testament to the robust relations between the Indian Navy and Republic of Singapore Navy, the release said.
