In a first-of-its-kind defence industry collaboration, MP3 International, a subsidiary of the UAE’s Gradeone and part of the EDGE Group, has signed a contract with India’s Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) to supply artillery components to the UAE Armed Forces.

The agreement, announced in Abu Dhabi, covers the delivery of 155mm howitzer barrels, key spare parts that support the accuracy and performance of heavy artillery platforms. The signing was formalised by Khalifa Al Ali, CEO of MP3 International, and Neelesh Tungar, CEO of KSSL.

Officials described the contract as more than just a supply arrangement. “This partnership moves beyond transactional supply—it’s a strategic alignment built on shared goals around self-sufficiency and advanced manufacturing,” said Al Ali. Tungar highlighted the significance for India’s defence industry footprint in the Gulf, noting, “We’re proud to deliver world-class capabilities to the UAE and work together on strengthening the region’s defence infrastructure.”

For the UAE, the deal enhances defence readiness while supporting its long-term strategy of developing indigenous capabilities through international partnerships. For India, it reinforces its role as a trusted global supplier of advanced defence manufacturing and strengthens New Delhi’s fast-growing security ties with the Gulf.

Gradeone, a key player in military hardware, ammunition, and mission-critical systems, is leveraging EDGE’s international reach to expand partnerships. The UAE’s broader defence cooperation with India already spans technology transfer, joint development, and systems integration—efforts aimed at boosting both countries’ competitiveness and self-reliance.

The deal is the first direct collaboration between Emirati and Indian firms for artillery spare parts and is expected to strengthen defence-industrial links between the two countries.

This latest contract marks a significant step forward in UAE–India defence collaboration, signalling accelerating momentum in cross-border industrial cooperation shaped by shared security and strategic interests.
