In a bid to establish Aero India as a premier event in the global aerospace sector, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has urged like-minded nations to collaborate in exploring strengths and capabilities to address strategic and tactical requirements.
Addressing the ‘Ambassadors’ Roundtable’ as a precursor to Aero India 2025, Singh remarked, “Aerospace represents the new frontier of military dominance and serves as a critical element of strategic deterrence.” Over 100 friendly nations were invited to the roundtable, underscoring India’s commitment to fostering global partnerships in the sector. Highlighting the complexities of the current global security environment, Singh called for greater cooperation to address emerging challenges.
Scheduled to take place in Bengaluru from February 10 to 14, Aero India is a biennial event that attracts top exhibitors from the world’s leading aerospace and defence industries. Singh emphasized that the 2025 edition presents a unique opportunity for nations to collaborate on innovative solutions to meet the growing demands of the defence sector.

“India has emerged as an attractive destination for investment in aerospace and defence. Aero India 2025 will offer a platform for nations, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs to explore partnerships and open new avenues for collaboration in defence technology and industrial enterprises,” he said.
Singh further noted that the event will provide a strategic forum for fostering partnerships that can address future challenges while creating inclusive and sustainable growth pathways. He underscored the Government’s commitment to enhancing India’s defence industrial ecosystem, which is already one of the largest in Asia.
He highlighted a significant milestone in India’s defence manufacturing journey: establishing the C-295 transport aircraft production facility for the Indian Air Force, a collaborative venture between Tata Advanced Systems Limited and Airbus Defence and Space.
Describing Aero India as Asia’s largest aerospace show, Singh called it a platform where nations can transcend boundaries to form enduring bonds. “Aero India has consistently served as a meeting ground for the global aerospace and defence sectors to showcase their innovations, forge strategic partnerships, and promote business opportunities, technology transfers, joint development, and co-production ventures,” he said.
As India continues to position itself as a global hub for aerospace and defence, Aero India 2025 promises to be a cornerstone event, driving collaboration and innovation on an international scale.
