Amid rising global geopolitical tensions and increasing maritime cooperation, President Droupadi Murmu urged young naval officers to stay ahead in technology and innovation on March 17.

Addressing officer trainees of the Indian Naval Material Management Service and the Indian Naval Armament Service at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President emphasized their critical role in strengthening the Indian Navy through efficient logistics and armament management.

“With India assuming a larger role on the global stage, leveraging advanced technologies for seamless inventory management and service delivery will be key,” she said.

She encouraged the officers to continuously update their knowledge of emerging technological advancements worldwide and adopt an innovative mindset to enhance operational efficiency.

President Murmu also called upon them to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation and the Navy, expressing confidence that their contributions would significantly bolster India’s maritime strength.
