Pangong-Tso, a calm saltwater lake situated at almost 14,000 feet in Eastern Ladakh is considered holy for both Indians as well as Tibetans. It has been a major point in the ancient Silk Route and until June 2020, was known to be a tourist place and a perfect spot to shoot movies but for last ten months or so, the lake and its surrounding areas are better known for the standoff between Indian and Chinese forces which are at loggerheads after the Galvan incident.
