Zen Technologies, a leading provider of defence training and anti-drone solutions, has announced the acquisition of four companies specializing in simulation and UAV-related technologies. This strategic move strengthens Zen’s capabilities in advanced defence technologies, autonomous robotics, and aerospace solutions.

The company has acquired Vector Technics Private Ltd and Bhairav Robotics Private Ltd, expanding beyond combat training into next-generation defence solutions. Zen now holds a 51% stake in Vector Technics and 45.33% in Bhairav Robotics, reinforcing its presence in the global drone and robotics market.

These acquisitions bolster Zen’s expertise in UAV propulsion, autonomous robotics, and aerospace components, aligning with the increasing demand for Indian-made defence solutions worldwide.

Bhairav Robotics is at the forefront of advancing combat automation through its innovative quadrupedal robots and autonomous weapon systems, significantly enriching Zen’s capabilities in this domain. Meanwhile, Vector Technics plays a pivotal role in the future of unmanned aerial warfare by providing advanced propulsion and power distribution solutions for drones and UAVs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in aerial operations. Together, these companies are shaping the landscape of modern warfare technology.

Strengthening Simulation Capabilities

Zen Technologies also announced the 100% acquisition of Applied Research International Private Limited (ARIPL) and ARI Labs Private Limited (ALPL) for ₹130 crore. These acquisitions significantly enhance Zen’s capabilities in defence simulation technologies for military and security forces.

The transactions will be completed in two tranches over the next year, subject to regulatory approvals. Once fully integrated, ARIPL and ALPL will further solidify Zen Technologies’ position as a leader in simulation-based defence training.

ARIPL, established in 1998, is a leader in designing advanced simulation and assessment tools tailored for various sectors, including marine, offshore, naval, ports, terminals, construction, and mining. In addition to its core offerings, the company also delivers e-governance solutions for India’s Directorate General of Shipping. Similarly, ALPL, founded in 1998, specializes in naval and marine simulation technologies, effectively enhancing Zen’s expertise in land-based training solutions. Together, these firms contribute significantly to developing innovative technologies in their respective fields.

By leveraging AI-powered analytics, immersive technology, and real-time performance assessments, Zen aims to drive innovation in military training. The company’s expanded capabilities will enhance combat preparedness for both Indian and global defence forces.

Vision for Next-Generation Defence Innovation

Ashok Atluri, Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, emphasized the strategic significance of these acquisitions:

“These acquisitions mark a major step in our mission to build a self-reliant and globally competitive defence ecosystem. By integrating cutting-edge robotics, propulsion, and aerospace technologies, we strengthen India’s defence capabilities and position Zen Technologies as a leader in next-generation defence innovation. This expansion underscores our commitment to delivering world-class, indigenous solutions that meet the evolving demands of modern warfare.”

With these acquisitions, Zen Technologies continues to solidify its reputation as a key player in India’s defence technology landscape, offering advanced training, simulation, and UAV solutions to military forces worldwide.
