Zen Technologies, a leading anti-drone technology and defence training solutions provider, has secured a significant order worth Rs 152 crore from the Ministry of Defence. The contract is for the supply of the company’s state-of-the-art Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS) for the L70 Gun, marking a major step in India’s push for technological self-reliance in the defence sector.
According to the company’s statement released on Friday, the IADCS is a cutting-edge virtual simulation system designed to provide comprehensive training for air defence operations. Developed entirely through Zen’s internal R&D efforts under the Make II category, the project highlights the company’s commitment to creating indigenous technologies and proprietary intellectual property with strategic value for the armed forces.
“This order reflects our strong commitment to innovation and our capability to create world-class indigenous solutions for the defence forces,” said Arjun Dutt Atluri, Vice President of Zen Technologies and added “We have independently invested in the research and development of this simulator, believing in its transformative potential.”
The Zen IADCS enhances operator readiness and unit-level coordination through hyper-realistic virtual environments that replicate real-world scenarios. This reduces the reliance on costly and logistically complex live training exercises while offering a scalable and adaptable solution with long-term operational and economic benefits.
“With its successful induction, we expect significant interest not only from the Indian armed forces but also from friendly foreign nations that operate legacy air defence platforms, such as the L70 gun. It marks an important milestone in our journey to becoming a global leader in virtual defence training systems,” hoped Atluri.
With this contract, Zen Technologies further cements its reputation as a trusted partner in developing and delivering advanced defence training solutions that align with national strategic interests and meet international standards.
