The 15th edition of Asia’s largest aero show, Aero India 2025, will take place at the Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from February 10 to 14, 2025. With the theme “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” the event aims to foster collaborations between Indian and foreign companies while exploring new avenues in the global aerospace value chain to boost indigenisation.
The first three days of the event—February 10, 11, and 12—will be reserved for business visitors, while the final two days, February 13 and 14, will welcome the general public to experience the spectacular displays. According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the event will feature dynamic air displays, static exhibitions of advanced military platforms, and the latest aerospace technologies.
As in previous editions, Aero India 2025 will feature a variety of significant events, including the curtain-raiser and inaugural ceremony, a Defence Ministers’ Conclave, a CEOs’ Roundtable, and the Manthan Start-up Event. Attendees can also look forward to dazzling air shows and a sprawling exhibition area that will showcase the India Pavilion alongside a trade fair highlighting leading aerospace companies.
Focus on Strategic Partnerships
The Defence Ministers’ Conclave will focus on fostering international defence cooperation under the theme “BRIDGE – Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement.” This initiative highlights the importance of mutual prosperity through collaborative security and development efforts among partner nations.
The event will include high-level bilateral meetings involving India’s Defence Minister, the Minister of State for Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, and other senior officials. These discussions aim to strengthen defence and aerospace ties with friendly nations while identifying new areas of partnership.
Promoting Indigenous Innovation and Start-ups
One of the event’s highlights is the India Pavilion, which will showcase India’s ‘Make-in-India’ achievements. It will feature indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities and cutting-edge technologies ready to compete on the global stage. Start-ups will take centre stage at the iDEX Pavilion, exhibiting state-of-the-art innovations and products. The event underscores India’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship in the defence and aerospace sectors.
Opportunities for Global Collaboration
The CEOs’ Roundtable will serve as a platform for global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to explore manufacturing opportunities in India. Attendees will include global CEOs, heads of domestic public sector undertakings (PSUs), and top executives from private aerospace and defence firms.
Building on Past Success
Aero India has earned global recognition as a premier aerospace exhibition, with 14 successful editions since its debut in Bengaluru in 1996. The last edition in 2023 attracted over 700,000 visitors, dignitaries from 98 countries, and 809 exhibitors, including businesses, investors, start-ups, and MSMEs.
The 2023 show facilitated over 250 partnerships, including 201 MoUs, product launches, and technology transfers valued at over Rs 75,000 crore. Aero India 2025 is poised to exceed these milestones, promising an event of even greater scale, innovation, and grandeur.
Stay tuned for an unforgettable aerospace showcase in Bengaluru this February!
