The Indian Air Force will take part in the Singapore Airshow 2026 with its Sarang helicopter display team. The team will fly the indigenously designed and built Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv.

The Ministry of Defence said the Sarang team is known for precision flying and close-formation manoeuvres. The display highlights the agility, reliability and operational versatility of the ALH Dhruv across a range of missions.

The Singapore Airshow 2026 will be held at the Changi Exhibition Centre from February 3 to 8. It is Asia’s premier biennial aerospace and defence exhibition. The event brings together global air forces, aerospace companies and aviation experts from across the Indo-Pacific.

According to the IAF, the airshow will showcase advanced military and civil aviation platforms. It will also provide a platform for professional interaction, strategic dialogue and industry partnerships.

The flying display programme will include the Sarang team and three other international display teams. A static display of 37 aircraft will be another major attraction of the event.

The Sarang aerobatic team was formed in 2005. It comprises five ALH helicopters. Over the years, the team has performed at several major international airshows.

These include the MAKS International Airshow in Russia in 2021, the Dubai Airshow in 2021 and 2023, and the Bahrain International Airshow in 2024. The team has also performed at the Singapore Airshow earlier.

At home, Sarang regularly participates in national events. The team has also supported humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

The IAF’s participation at the Singapore Airshow reflects India’s growing aerospace capabilities. It also highlights the increasing global presence of indigenous defence platforms.
