Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), embarked on a four-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on October 21. The visit aims to enhance defence cooperation between India and the UAE, further reinforcing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that spans multiple sectors. During this visit, Adm Tripathi will focus on consolidating bilateral maritime relations and exploring new opportunities for collaboration between the two navies, according to a statement from the Indian Navy.
The Navy Chief is set to engage in discussions with Rear Admiral Pilot Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, along with other senior government officials. As part of his visit, he will also tour the National Defence College of the UAE and interact with the student officers. Additionally, Adm Tripathi will observe the 3rd edition of the India-UAE Bilateral Naval Exercise.

“Cooperative engagements between the Indian and UAE navies include a wide range of interactions, such as operational activities through port calls, bilateral naval exercises, reciprocal visits, Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks, and collaboration through the Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC),” the statement said.
