Rajnath Singh interacted with leading US defence companies in Washington

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at the White House in Washington, DC, on 23rd August. They discussed the evolving geopolitical situation, regional security issues, and the ongoing defence industrial collaboration projects between India and the U.S. Emphasizing the progress made, they also explored potential areas for further collaboration between the two countries’ industries.

Singh also participated in a roundtable in Washington, DC, with senior leaders of the U.S. defence industry organized by the US India Strategic Partnership Forum, attended by several US defence and technology companies. Singh highlighted India’s readiness to welcome U.S. investment and technology collaboration, pointing to the country’s skilled human resource base, pro-FDI and pro-business ecosystem, and large domestic market. He also expressed India’s interest in working closely with the US to build defence capability and foster a strong technology and industrial partnership to address emerging challenges.

According to the Defence Ministry statement, Singh later briefly met a delegation from the US-India Business Council.
