The Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps recently demonstrated its operational excellence in a live-fire exercise designed to validate its battle readiness, rapid deployment, and precision strike capabilities. Conducted in the high-altitude mountains of Sikkim, the exercise highlighted the Corps’ adaptability to challenging terrain and diverse operational scenarios.
“Through coordinated firepower and precision engagement, the units showcased their preparedness to address a range of challenges, including those unique to high-altitude warfare,” stated an official release.
According to the statement, the exercise underscores the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to maintaining high standard efficiency, agility, and mission readiness, irrespective of difficult terrains and geographical constraints. This rigorous training reflects the Army’s focus on evolving its capabilities to address emerging security challenges across varied landscapes.
The Trishakti Corps, part of the Eastern Command and headquartered in Siliguri, West Bengal, also conducted Exercise Devil Strike earlier this year, a high-intensity joint operation held from January 16 to 19. This dynamic exercise brought together elite airborne troops from the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, emphasizing seamless integration and joint operational excellence.
Exercise Devil Strike focused on validating complex airborne operations, including the precision insertion of troops and equipment into hostile terrains. Conducted across multiple training areas and firing ranges, it tested the forces’ ability to operate under extreme conditions while refining logistics and sustenance strategies critical to long-term operational effectiveness.
These exercises collectively underscore the Indian Army’s readiness to respond swiftly and effectively to evolving security challenges, reinforcing its role as a pillar of national defence.
