Maj Gen DK Jamwal, VSM** retired from the Army after rendering 38 years of distinguished service. He is an alumni of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, College of Defence Management, Secunderabad. He has commanded his battalion as part of the elite Parachute Brigade, a Mountain Brigade in Kargil Heights, besides holding a number of instructional, operational and administrative assignments. He also served at the apex in the tri-service domain, related to Operations & Logistics. He managed the Indian Army’s budget for six years. Post retirement in 2012, he was appointed CEO of Security Skill Council, under the aegis of NSDC and steered one of the largest skilling drives in the country. He is a regular speaker on issues of national and strategic importance in various forums. He is presently the Senior Advisor to a Group of Companies.
