Lt Gen Saha, former Deputy Chief of Army Staff is a highly decorated officer with a career spanning nearly four decades in the Indian Army. In his last assignment as Deputy Chief he adopted the strategy, “Win Indian Wars with Indian Solutions,” driven by a strong and unprecedented collaborative process involving academia, industry (including MSMEs) and the Army. He commanded the valley based 15 Corps and GOC of Division in Strike Corps. His experience as Deputy Regional Commander United Nations Mission in Angola and other operational assignments has given him an in depth understanding of conflict management. He led disaster management operations in four districts of Orissa during the Super Cyclone 1999. His academic record includes the Army Staff College, UK; the United States Army War College and Indian Army War College. He was adjudged as the Best Overseas Student at the Staff College, Camberley, United Kingdom. He is a Gold Medalist at the Higher Command Course in the Indian Army War College. He is an M Phil in Defense Management from Indore University. Currently he heads Secretary and Director General Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers
