Brigadier Vikram Taneja was commissioned into the Army Ordnance Corps from IMA Dehradun in December 1988. The officer is an alumnus of DSSC Wellington and CDM Secunderabad.
He has been a Directing Staff at the College of Defence Management, Secunderabad from 2012 to 2014. He is presently a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies and his area of work pertains to programme management in Capital acquisitions.
