Major Deal for Private Sector: Defence Ministry Inks Rs 2,580 cr Pinaka Deal With L&T and Tata

In a major boost for the private sector, the defence ministry has inked a ₹2,580-crore deal to manufacture indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers for the Army.

The contract, which has been in the making since 2017, will go to private sector companies L&T and Tata Aerospace and Defence. A significant portion of the work will also go to public sector enterprise BEML, which supplies trucks for the rocket launchers. Read More…
