NSA Ajit Doval Slams Foreign Media Over Operation Sindoor Coverage: ‘Show Us One Image of Indian Damage’

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday delivered a scathing critique of foreign media reportage on Operation Sindoor, demanding evidence of any damage allegedly inflicted on India by Pakistan in response to the operation. Speaking at IIT Madras, Doval questioned the credibility of international narratives surrounding the cross-border strikes and challenged journalists to produce even a single image of Indian infrastructure being harmed.

“Foreign press claimed that Pakistan retaliated… You tell me, is there even one photograph or image showing any damage to any Indian structure — even a glass pane broken?” Doval asked pointedly. “They wrote stories and published reports, but where is the proof?”

Referring specifically to media coverage of Operation Sindoor — India’s precision strikes against terrorist infrastructure deep inside Pakistan — Doval highlighted the disparity between foreign reporting and publicly available satellite imagery.

“Satellite images showed 13 Pakistani air bases before and after May 10 — whether in Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, or Chaklala. These were not Indian assessments but images put out by international media,” he said.

Doval underlined that while India possessed the capability to cause significant damage to Pakistani military assets, Operation Sindoor was deliberately restrained and focused. “We are capable of doing that,” he remarked, implying that the mission’s limited scope was by design, not due to constraints.

‘We Missed None’: Doval Shares Details of Operation Sindoor

Offering rare operational insights, Doval hailed Operation Sindoor as a “technologically advanced and entirely indigenous” mission, emphasising India’s growing self-reliance in defence capabilities.

“We must develop our own indigenous technology. We are proud of how much of the operation was indigenously executed,” he said, while lauding the precision and planning involved.

According to Doval, the operation targeted nine terrorist locations situated deep within Pakistani territory — far from the border areas — and achieved complete success.

“We identified nine terrorist targets across Pakistan — not near the border, but deep inside. We hit everyone. We missed none. We didn’t hit anywhere else. The strikes were so precise, we knew exactly who was where,” he said.

He further revealed that the entire mission lasted just 23 minutes, underscoring the speed and accuracy of the execution.

Operation Sindoor, publicly acknowledged on the night of May 7, is being seen as one of India’s most audacious and technologically sophisticated military operations in recent years, demonstrating its enhanced strike capability and intelligence-driven targeting deep inside hostile territory.
