‘Armed forces must develop capabilities to wage peace not war’

Gen Vipin Rawat Chief of Defence Staff dwelt on the fact of our armed forces operating in diverse terrain and weather conditions that range from deserts to glacial heights. As such, our requirements are varied and the products we use have to be robust.

Our testing and trials methodology is also very stiff and exhaustive. The equipment that we produce and the technologies that we would offer would meet the needs of a technology driven battlefield. We are also offering credit lines on easy terms.

It’s our objective to strengthen capacities of our friendly countries and assist them in building their forces to ensure stability in their areas.
