The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen Anil Chauhan, is chairing the inaugural Parivartan Chintan Tri-Service Conference today in New Delhi. The conference aims to foster jointness and integration in the Indian Armed Forces. According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the day-long event seeks to generate fresh ideas and reforms vital for propelling collaborative efforts across the services.
The Indian Armed Forces are taking major steps to transform themselves to operate in the changing dynamics of warfare. For the past few years, the Indian security apparatus has been adapted to enable Tri-Service multi-domain operations. Many initiatives are being taken to promote Jointness and Integration, which will have a crucial role in future wars, said the statement.
CDS Gen Anil Chauhan will lead the ‘Parivartan Chintan’. It will be the first-ever conference of the heads of all tri-service institutions, the Department of Military Affairs (DMA), the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, and the three services, with officers from various services. Their diverse understanding and experiences are expected to provide recommendations to achieve the desired “Joint and Integrated” structure and operations.
In response to the evolving landscape of modern warfare, the Indian Armed Forces have undertaken transformative changes to enhance their readiness. The Parivartan Chintan is seen as a platform for shaping the future trajectory of the Indian Armed Forces.
With a focus on innovation and adaptability, there are high expectations from the conference. It’s expected to provide inputs to strengthen the nation’s defence capabilities in an increasingly complex security environment.
