Major General Ajay Das, SC, YSM (Retd) is a Distinguished Fellow & Consultant Net Assessment at the Centre for Strategic Studies & Simulation (CS3), The USI of India. An alumnus of NDA, he is a Graduate of Defence Sevices Staff College, Wellington and College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad. He holds two Masters degrees in Defence & Strategic Studies as well as in Management Sciences. He has been a teaching faculty and Head of Department of Strategic Management at the CDM..He has functioned as Operations Officer and as Assistant Chief Military Personnel Officer (ACMPO) in a multinational UN Mission in Angola and later has also been Security Advisor to a foreign Govt while he headed the Indian Army Training Team (IATT) in the concerned country. He has also been the Additional Director General of Public Information at the Army HQ, responsible for positive shaping of information environment, formulation & execution of relevant policies and plans. He has had rich military operational, logistics and administrative experience in prestigious command, staff and instructional appointments in various ranks over 38 years of his Army career. His special expertise is in the domains of geopolitics, strategic analysis including Net Assessment & Scenario Building, strategy formulation, perception management, organization force structuring and military capability development.
