“Hand Over Masterminds”: India Turns Up Heat on Pakistan’s Terror Shield

India has issued a scathing rebuke to Pakistan for continuing to shield internationally wanted terrorists. In a hard-hitting interview with Israeli news channel i24, senior Indian diplomat JP Singh—currently India’s Ambassador to Israel—slammed Pakistan’s refusal to hand over the masterminds of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

“If America can hand over a 26/11 conspirator to India, why can’t Pakistan hand over the actual masterminds?” Singh asked, referring to the recent extradition of Tahawwur Hussain Rana by the United States. “They just need to hand over Hafiz Saeed, Lakhvi, Sajid Mir—and it will be over.”

A veteran diplomat who has served in Pakistan and led the Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan (PIA) desk at the Ministry of External Affairs, Singh made clear that India is done tolerating double games.

Pakistan Must Stop Shielding Terrorists

India, Singh said, has repeatedly shared credible evidence linking Pakistan-based terrorists to major attacks on Indian soil—including the 26/11 Mumbai carnage, the Pathankot airbase strike, and the Pulwama suicide bombing. Yet, the perpetrators remain free and under state protection.

“Pakistan has not only ignored international appeals for justice—it has enabled these terrorists to flourish. Terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi remain under state protection,” he asserted.

“This Is a War on Humanity”: Singh on Pahalgam Massacre

Highlighting the communal dimension of recent attacks, Singh pointed to the April 22 massacre in Pahalgam, where terrorists asked victims about their religion before executing them. “This is not just terrorism—this is a war on humanity,” he said. “26 innocent lives were lost simply because of their faith.”

Operation Sindoor: Just Paused, Not Over

Addressing India’s robust response to cross-border terror, Singh said Operation Sindoor had successfully targeted terror hideouts. “India destroyed terror hideouts. When Pakistan retaliated by targeting our military posts, we responded with equal force,” he said.

“The ceasefire holds for now—but make no mistake, Operation Sindoor is only paused, not ended.”

“Blood and Water Cannot Flow Together”

Singh was blunt about suspending the Indus Waters Treaty: “The treaty was signed in good faith in 1960, but Pakistan has repeatedly violated its spirit. As the Prime Minister said, blood and water cannot flow together. That’s why India has suspended the treaty.”

Global Coalition Against Terror Needed

Emphasizing India’s zero-tolerance policy, Singh called for a united global front. “Terrorism is a global threat. India has shown that aggressive, pre-emptive action is the new normal. Terrorists and their sponsors will face consequences,” he said, calling for an international coalition to take the fight to the terror networks.

India, Singh declared, has adopted a globalized and proactive counter-terror doctrine. JP Singh’s message is clear: Pakistan can no longer hide behind diplomatic niceties while offering safe haven to mass murderers. The world must act—not just speak—against terror.

“The time for polite appeals is over. Accountability must come—not just through statements, but through action.”
