India on Monday briefed defence attachés from 70 countries on the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, positioning it as a defining moment in India–Pakistan relations that underlined New Delhi’s military superiority, strategic resolve, and technological edge in multi-domain warfare.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 by the Indian Armed Forces in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, targeting nine terror launch pads across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Targeted, Precise, and Multi-Domain
Lt Gen DS Rana, Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), led the closed-door briefing, detailing the meticulously coordinated targeting process, which focused exclusively on facilities with verified terrorist linkages.
“The integrated, precise, and prompt response by Indian Armed Forces achieved all stated objectives and was executed through intense, joint, multi-domain operations,” the Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) said in an official post on X.
India’s use of indigenous kinetic platforms—backed by space, cyber, and electronic warfare capabilities—was showcased as a template of modern, synergised military application, officials said.

Showcasing Indigenous Strength: “Whole-of-Nation” Approach
The attachés were given a detailed account of India’s “Whole-of-Nation” approach, which combined military power, intelligence coordination, and diplomatic clarity. Special emphasis was laid on the battle effectiveness of indigenous force multipliers and the technological superiority of the Indian Armed Forces in non-kinetic domains.
Countering Misinformation, Exposing Pakistan
Lt Gen Rana also presented credible intelligence on Pakistan’s sustained anti-India misinformation campaign, underscoring its destabilizing impact on regional peace. India’s swift strategic and diplomatic countermeasures were cited as a successful example of countering information warfare in real-time.
While China was not invited to the briefing, officials confirmed that Turkey abstained.
“India demonstrated not only operational superiority but also narrative dominance,” said a senior defence official familiar with the briefing.
