Army Chief visited Headquarters of Trishakti Corps to review the security situation and operational preparedness of the formations

Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth has carried out a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of formations under the Eastern Command amid the evolving security environment along India’s eastern frontier with China.

During his two-day visit to the Trishakti Corps on July 14-15, General Seth was briefed on the prevailing operational situation, including troop deployments, surveillance architecture and the current security dynamics in the theatre. He also reviewed initiatives aimed at technology absorption, capability enhancement and force modernisation as the Army accelerates its transformation into a technology-driven force.

The Army Chief later visited Bengdubi Military Station, where he assessed regional security arrangements and examined the operational logistics network supporting formations deployed in the strategically important eastern sector.

General Seth also visited the Spear Corps, where he reviewed combat preparedness and was briefed on the evolving operational environment, inter-agency coordination and measures being undertaken to strengthen operational readiness. He also assessed community outreach programmes designed to promote peace, stability and development across the North-East.

Addressing commanders and troops, the Army Chief reiterated his operational vision of “VIJAY,” built around vigilance, innovation, jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Yodha First. He said these guiding principles would enable the Army to remain agile, adaptive and future-ready while contributing to the national objective of Viksit Bharat 2047.

General Seth commended officers and soldiers for maintaining high operational standards and morale while serving in demanding terrain and challenging conditions.

The visit comes as the Army continues periodic operational reviews across sensitive sectors. It also follows recent inspections by Eastern Army Commander Lieutenant General V.M.B. Krishnan, who reviewed operational preparedness at military stations in Ranchi and Hashimara.
