Thrustworks Dynetics, an IIT Bombay–incubated propulsion startup, is emerging as a key enabler in India’s rapidly growing space ecosystem. The company, which has already built India’s first Mobile Rocket Engine Test Bed, is now developing the country’s first Integrated Rocket Facility, bringing design, manufacturing, and testing capabilities under one roof.

Thrustworks has recently raised seven crore rupees in a funding round led by Jamwant Ventures, with Piper Serica and SINE–IIT Bombay as co-investors. The fresh capital will fuel the development of ANYA, a modular liquid rocket engine platform, and advance next-generation propulsion technologies, including High Thrust High Impulse (HTHI) engines and micro-combustors.

With India’s space sector witnessing unprecedented momentum, Thrustworks Dynetics aims to position itself at the forefront of indigenous propulsion innovation, supporting faster, more efficient access to space.

“We see ourselves as enablers to India’s aerospace ecosystem by providing modular and customizable liquid rocket engines that reduce development timelines from years to months,” said Manan Joshi, Co-founder of Thrustworks Dynetics. “This investment will accelerate our journey toward building India’s most advanced propulsion systems.”

“Thrustworks combines deep technical expertise with an ambitious vision to transform propulsion technology,” said Cdr Navneet Kaushik (Retd), Co-founder of Jamwant Ventures. Abhay Agarwal, Managing Partner at Piper Serica, added, “Their engineering approach promises significant impact in enabling more efficient and sustainable access to space.”

The new funding will be deployed to scale the Integrated Rocket Facility, strengthen research and development (R&D) in advanced propulsion, and expand testing infrastructure to meet the growing global demand for commercial space launches.

With India’s space sector entering a high-growth phase driven by ISRO’s expanding missions and private participation through IN-SPACe, Thrustworks Dynetics aims to position itself as a key propulsion partner for next-generation launch vehicles and defence applications.
